The Real Planet of the Apes (Documentary)
In the past Amazon would always bring new features for the Kindle hardware line and usually leave the iOS and Android Apps without them for a while. Now things are different. I see innovation and frequent upgrades coming to Apps and the ePaper eReader line is usually left behind. Specially the old models like my Kindle Touch that served me very well for a long time.
I really like that device, but since my purchased of an iPad mini retina I gradually moved all my reading to the tablet. Apple did a great job! The text looks super sharp and the brightness control is much better. But I’m only moving away from Amazon hardware. I keep buying my books there. They have the bast catalog, good prices and amazing technology like Whispersync.
What? Installation of an automatic missile warning and detection system on a commercial plain? What’s next? Missiles?
Ok Amazon, you got me once more…
I have a Kindle Touch with ads and saw a Special Offer for the book Tears in Rain. I love Blade Runner (you know that, right?), downloaded the sample, liked what I read and ended up purchasing the book. But this isn’t everything. After pressing the famous 1-Click® button I was presented to a new screen recommending an Audible professional narration for a reduced price of $1.99 (list price = $13.99).
This is the new narration inside the Kindle App and If I got it right I can even listen to the book using the independent Audible App with Whispersync. And yes, I also clicked the Buy for $1.99 button.
Anyway, Amazon is really doing an excellent job. I went to the site because of a book I didn’t know existed and ended up buying two items.
I agree with Sunita Kaur. Lowering prices is not enough to end piracy. A lot of education is needed.
Ignorance is bliss?
Of course significant things happen everyday, but some days look so regular in my tailored news feed… Specially when I don’t have time to read it all. Good! I like my Mondays without plains crashing, innocent people dying for nothing, Security Council meetings and political scandals.
